This scene by artist, Nicole Heitzman, depicts a beautiful ringneck pheasant pair against the golden glow of a South Dakota sunset. Thousands of hunters come to SD each year to enjoy the hunting experiences & the wide open beauty that it has to offer. This print depicts a touch of the farm heritage as well. The windmills are becoming more and more scarce, but there are still several of them in and around farm country. Often times that is where you will find the pheasants. They seem to enjoy hanging out around the old farmsteads. "Wings in the Wind" captures both the wild & country essence forever.
