Photographer, Nicole Heitzman, has always had a love for the outdoors and hunting! Duck photography & hunting is something that she is new to so she went with a friend to try to learn how to get closer to the waterfowl. Photography is much like hunting so many of the steps were similar. It's tough to get close to these wild birds but she is getting better. On this day, my friends dog was just looking too perfect with the composition of its surroundings so I couldn't resist this shot.

This image is captured during spring migration in South Dakota. The sun was just about to set as this black lab sat and watch the birds as we sat camouflaged nearby in some weeds.

This is a 24"x16" Art Block print. It has a canvas paper stretched over a solid block for durability of the image.
